Court Sacks Sen Bwacha Over Defection To APC

The lawmaker representing Taraba South senatorial district, Emmanuel Bwacha has been sacked by the Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo.

Sothern Robin learnt that Bwacha was removed from office for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

PDP in Taraba State had approached the court to declare the lawmaker’s seat vacant for dumping the party on which he was elected.

The presiding Judge, Justice Simon Amobeda in his ruling ordered Bwacha to immediately vacate his seat.

Senator Bwacha who is also the Senate deputy minority leader had defected to APC on February 3, 2022.

Bwacha was formally received into the ruling APC by President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House.

The Taraba federal lawmaker was led to the Presidential Villa by the chairman of the ruling party’s interim committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni.

APC Will Not Survive 2023 Because It Is An Alliance Between Tinubu And CPC – Atiku

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has said that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will not be able to survive beyond the 2023 election.

The PDP flag bearer stated this during the inauguration of the National Youth Campaign Council, led by the Osun State Governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke, who was represented by former National Youth Leader, Mohammed Maibasira, on Thursday in Abuja.

The former Vice-President argued that the APC is not a political party but an alliance that would soon be voted out of power.

He noted that alliances can end overnight hence his belief that the ruling party is on limited time.
