Imo PDP Candidate Denies Resigning For Uzodimma

Samuel Anyanwu, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate in Imo State, has denied allegations that he has stood aside for All Progressives Congress Governor Hope Uzodimma.

On Thursday night, a video emerged on social media claiming that Anyanwu had dropped out of the contest and endorsed Uzodimma, Anyanwu, on the other hand, called the video a hoax.

On Friday, his spokeswoman, Ikenna Onuoha, released a statement urging the people of the state to dismiss the false film.

“Our attention has been drawn to a trending video on social media purportedly claiming that the Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship candidate in the Saturday, November 11 off-season election in Imo state, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, popularly known as Samdaddy, has withdrawn,” the statement reads.

The film is not only a forgery, a clear falsehood from the bottom of hell, exceedingly mischievous, ludicrous, and misleading, but also a foolish nasty manufactured humbly by outgoing Governor Uzodimma to confuse the people.

“A critical examination of the aforementioned video reveals that it was criminally edited and superimposed by these miscreants to suit Uzodimma and his party’s tendencies.” Please disregard this untruth, since Senator Anyanwu never resigned and has no intention of doing so in this election that he has practically won.

“The truth is that Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the PDP’s candidate, poses a significant threat to Uzodimma, who has become parched in both the physical and spiritual senses since Imo people began booing him.”

“It’s critical to inform Uzodimma and his followers that no amount of blackmail or meaningless propaganda can save him from Saturday’s loss.

“In this election, Senator Samuel Anyanwu remains a candidate to beat.” He is highly placed in the race and will never consider withdrawing from a battle in which more than 70% of observers see him as the likely winner.”
