Rep. Gagdi Denies Pushing For An Investigation Into Gasoline Subsidies

Rep Yusuf Gagdi (APC-Plateau), Chairman of the House Committee on Navy, has rejected asking for an investigation into President Bola Tinubu’s revocation of fuel subsidies.

Gagdi stated this in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja.

“Because the integrity of the media is so important, it should never be mortgaged or traded.”

“There is a false story in some sections of the media quoting me as saying our President, Bola Tinubu, will be investigated over the subsidy removal.”

“Nothing can be farther than the truth in that news report; I urge the media to be thorough in its reportage and not lose its integrity especially when it involves translation,” he was quoted as saying.

Gagdi asked everyone to ignore the devious and blackmailing headline and urged media outlets to be more cautious when casting their headlines.

Gagdi expressed surprise at the spectacular headline, stating.
