The Court of Allure sitting in Abuja has sacked Suleiman Wanchiko of People groups Leftist faction (PDP) as the champ of Bida I (North) State Body electorate political race in Niger and pronounced Bako Kasim of All Reformists Congress (APC) as the victor of the survey.
The three-part board, while conveying the judgment through Equity Bature Isa-Gafai, held Wanchiko’s allure was unmeritorious. The investigative court concurred with Kasim’s guidance, Johnson Usman, SAN, that Wanchiko, having introduced a fashioned tribute to the Free Public Electing Commission (INEC), should be excluded from challenging the political race
The News Organization of Nigeria (NAN) reports that INEC had pronounced Wanchiko the victor of the Bida I (North) Electorate survey for the Niger State Place of Gathering political race directed on Walk 18. The discretionary umpire had pronounced Wanchiko as the victor with 12,062 votes as against 11, 820 votes scored by Kasim.
Disappointed with the INEC’s announcement, Kasim and APC, through their Guidance, Mr Usman, moved toward the state’s political decision request court by means of appeal number: EPT/NG/SHA/11/2023 between Bako Kasim and another Versus Suleiman Muhammad Wanchiko and another.
Kasim documented the request because Wanchiko was not able to challenge in that frame of mind in that he submitted manufactured tribute to INEC and that the political race was invalid by reason of rebelliousness with the Appointive Demonstration, 2022.
Toward the finish of preliminary, the court tracked down merit in the candidates’ contentions and precluded Wanchiko and requested a re-run without him. Not happy with the judgment of the council, Wanchiko, through his guidance, Aliyu Lemu, SAN, moved toward the Court of Allure, imploring the court to save the choice of the court.
However, Kasim’s legal counselor encouraged the court to excuse the allure and return his client as the victor of the political decision. The redrafting court maintained Usman’s contention that Wanchiko, having been precluded, the legitimate request was to return Kasim as the victor of the survey and coordinated INEC to give him a Declaration of Return
