Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has praised Akwa United’s management for the high level of professionalism with which the club is run.
On Monday, Enyeama paid a visit to the Chairman and team management at the club’s office in Uyo.
The 41-year-old, who began his career with the Promise Keepers, urged Akwa United and all aspiring footballers to remain focused and work hard while looking to God for strength.
“I must say that the structure I’ve seen on the ground has really impressed me.” This was not the case during my time, and I can see that a lot has changed.
“I didn’t expect anything less from Elder Paul Bassey is the Chairman. Elder Bassey has the Midas touch.
“Even when I was still playing for the national team, he is one of those very senior journalists in this country that commands a lot of respect from players and officials,” he added.
Akwa United has had a difficult start to the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
The Uyo club is currently ranked 17th in the table.
