An improved rendition of the 2015 film, O-Town from CJ “Searing” Obasi will be delivered for the current year, after very nearly 10 years since it was first screened.
Through a post on X (previously Twitter), Obasi said that the wrongdoing hoodlum thrill ride will return not long from now, re-altered, remixed and yet again dominated. “Gracious, and we’ll be delivering the authoritative version of O-Town this year. Re-altered, remixed and yet again dominated,” Obasi said.
The semi-self-portraying film recounts the tale of a young fellow, Harmony (played by Paul Utomi), a trickster with a desire to lead the town in Owerri, known as O-Town.
Composed, coordinated and created by Obasi, the cast incorporates Brutus Richard, Ifeanyi Delvin Ijeoma, Tosses Chyke, BBNaija graduate Ifu Ennada, Lucy Ameh, Kalu Ikeagwu and Olu Alvin.
O-Town previously debuted in November 2015 at the African Worldwide Film Celebration (AFRIFF) in Lagos and afterward at the Goteborg Film Celebration 2016 in Sweden.
It was Assigned at the Screen Country Film and TV Grants in 2016 for the Most loved Worldwide Film classification, afterward on around the same time, at the Africa Film Foundation Grants (AMAA) for Most Encouraging Entertainer (Ennada), and for Best Nigerian Film. It won the Accomplishment in Soundtrack classification.
