Femi Adesina, the former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the immediate past President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that the rumor of a clone – Jubril of Sudan – of his ex-principal was ridiculous.
Adesina uncovered this, among others in his book, named, ‘Working with Buhari: Impressions of a Unique Consultant, Media and Exposure (2015 – 2023),’ which was introduced in Abuja last Tuesday.
The previous official helper expressed that upon his (Buhari) getting back from an unfamiliar clinical outing on August 19, 2021, talk started to spread that the recent President wasn’t the genuine tall, lean, Daura-conceived ex-military pioneer, but instead it was his clone called ‘Jubril of Sudan.’
Adesina reviewed that the day the President returned, he (Adesina) had prior gone to the wedding of the little girl of a previous Head of Safeguard Staff, Gen. Gabriel Olonisakin.
“For such trips, you really wanted the full Yoruba agbada, with cap to coordinate. I wore that. From chapel and gathering, I went directly to the air terminal, as the President was charged to land around 4 p.m. What’s more, when he did, we framed the standard gathering line,” Adesina composed.
The previous helper expressed that Buhari warmly greeted everybody, and when it got to his turn, the ex-military pioneer praised him, saying, “Adesina, this is the best I have seen you dressed,” and they giggled at the joke as Buhari was partial to quips.
Adesina added, “When later, certain individuals started to spread unwarranted stories that the man that got back to the country on that August 19 was not the genuine Buhari, but rather a clone, named Jubril of Sudan, I just thought that it is silly, even slothful.”
That’s what he questioned if the “individual was a sure Jubril, how could he know my name, and remarking on my dressing?”
Adesina further expressed that Buhari was adorable among individuals as this was clear when he rode through the air terminal to the Official Manor in Abuja.
He also said that Buhari would have won if he ran for office again because of the warm reception he received that day.
“The ride from Murtala Muhammed Air terminal to the Official Manor on that day showed me that the President would win a political decision assuming he ran once more.
“Ordinarily, the group was wild to the point that they held onto the street and constrained the escort to a creep. According to the book, “They were simply overjoyed to have their President back, a man they loved so much.”
In his book, Adesina also talked about how Buhari didn’t fire Godwin Emefiele, the troubled governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, because there were rumors that he might run for president in the 2023 general election.
Similarly, Buhari was cited to have said he favored removing the head of the prohibited Native Individuals of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, to confront preliminary in Nigeria as opposed to killing him.
As per the book, Buhari said removing Kanu to Nigeria was a superior choice contrasted with preparing assets to dispose of him.
