Rivers Residents Lament the Blackout as Armed Men Vandalize Transformers

Occupants of Ojoto, Wokoma, Elechi and Ekwe roads in Mile 3 Diobu, Port Harcourt City Chamber of Waterways State, have been tossed into obscurity after a few outfitted men vandalized a transformer nearby.

On Monday morning, the inhabitants awakened to figure out that the transformer situated at Elechi/Wokom Road had been messed with throughout the night by miscreants.

A source said the miscreants who were furnished accompanied a Hilux vehicle at around 3:30 am on Monday, the fifteenth of January, to vandalize the transformer.

As per an occupant of the area, Stephen Rowland, the criminals were around six in number; four were working on the transformer, while two were mounted at the edges of the fenced move with their firearms.
