Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti claims that his administration will perpetuate the memory of the late Paul Omotosho, the state’s All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman.
While visiting delegates of the APC’s Forum of State Chairmen, who had come to his office to deliver a condolence letter, Oyebanji promised Ado-Ekiti.
The governor stated that the gesture was made in remembrance of Omotoso’s service, humility, and loyalty, while also acknowledging the deceased’s enormous contributions to the state’s progress.
Oyebanji emphasized that the late chairman was a devoted leader, unifier, and party chieftain, highlighting his steadfast commitment to the party and his selfless contribution to the state and humanity.
Additionally, he guaranteed that his government will offer sufficient assistance for the relatives of the ill person.
We are going through a really trying time right now, and as you mentioned, Barrister Omotosho was a straightforward, devoted, and modest man.
“Before God and man, we swear to you that as a government, we will do everything within our power to protect the family.
“God willing, we will make sure that we do everything within our power to ease the pain and load of his leaving, even if we will never be able to replace him.
Oyebanji declared, “We will not stop there; we are going to immortalize him and we will give him a fitting burial.”
Cornelius Ojelabi, the Acting Chairman of the Forum, had stated earlier in his speech that the reason for their visit was to express sympathy to the party, the governor, and the wonderful people of Ekiti.
Ojelabi, who gave the governor the Forum’s letter of condolence, praised the late Omotosho as a moral leader who devoted his life to advancing the party and the country as a whole. He insisted that for everyone who knew and respected him, the late Omotosho was a source of solutions and a ray of hope.
Deputy Governor Chief (Mrs.) Monisade Afuye, Secretary to the State Government Dr. Habibat Adubiaro, and Special Advisor on Political and Inter-Party Matters Chief Jide Awe were in attendance during the visit.
Other attendees were Ola Elesin, the APC’s acting chairman in Ekiti, as well as the chairmen of the party in each of the six geopolitical Zones.
