With the assistance of the cabin staff, a doctor who was on board the aircraft delivered the baby.
On March 15, 2024, while traveling from Mexico to Ciudad Juárez, one of the passengers unexpectedly went into labor. The other passengers on this flight will undoubtedly remember this trip for a very long time.
One of the passengers went into labor an hour after takeoff.
Thankfully, there was a doctor on board, and he assisted the cabin crew in delivering the baby. The mother and infant were brought to the hospital upon their arrival in Ciudad Juárez. The new member of the crew was greeted with cheers from the passengers.
Soon after, social media was filled with posts verifying this strange incident. “There was just a baby born on the aircraft.”
One of the travelers posted, “I was on,” on Instagram. “We had a new passenger when we landed. Many thanks to each and every steward. Whoa, whoa, whoa.”
Based on his birth on one of Aeroméxico’s aircraft, the newborn child might be eligible for complimentary flights with the Mexican flag carrier for the remainder of his life, according to rumors in the Mexican media. The airline, according to the ADN 40 news website, did not corroborate this claim.
“We had a unique experience on board today: we received a new passenger during the journey! The birth was an amazing event that warmed our hearts. We express our gratitude to the incredible team of flight AM113, the brave doctor accompanying us, and the kid whose life began.
traveling during the year we are commemorating our 90th anniversary, in which case the infant will get a wonderful present from us,” the airline wrote on the X website.
Still, there are other examples of people being born in the sky. 74 babies were born on 73 commercial flights between 1929 and 2018, according to a 2020 study. We refer to newborns born in the sky as “sky-born.”
Interestingly, on an Air Canada journey from the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia to Toronto last week, another baby was born. Global News stated, “The baby was born before landing, but the flight was diverted to Bermuda.”
