Government Focuses on Sustainable Water Development under Minister Utsev

The Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation has made significant progress in Nigeria in terms of improving access to safe water and promoting sustainable development. This progress is largely attributed to the efforts of the Ministry’s Minister, Joseph Terlumun Utsev.

Recently, Minister Utsev commissioned a water bottling and treatment facility at the Hadejia-Jamare River Basin Development Authority in Kano State. This facility will not only provide clean and safe drinking water for the people in the area, but it will also create job opportunities and contribute to the economic development of the state.

In addition to this, the minister also commissioned 100,000 liters of overhead steel water tanks, which are powered by hybrid solar inverters, in Masamawa, Birnin Kudu Local Government Area of Jigawa State. This initiative will greatly benefit the community by ensuring a steady supply of clean water, especially in times of water scarcity.

These projects demonstrate Minister Utsev’s commitment and dedication to improving the lives of Nigerians. His efforts align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which is focused on moving the nation forward and making Nigeria a better place for all.

Access to clean and safe water is essential for the health and well-being of individuals and communities. It is also a basic human right that should be accessible to all. Therefore, the commissioning of these water treatment plants in Kano and Jigawa is a significant step forward.

Furthermore, these initiatives will not only enhance the lives of the local communities but also contribute to the overall development of the country. A reliable water supply is crucial in various sectors such as agriculture, industry, and tourism. With the availability of clean and safe water, these sectors can thrive, leading to the creation of job opportunities and economic growth.

The use of hybrid solar inverters to power the water tanks in Jigawa is also a commendable move towards promoting sustainable development. This alternative source of energy not only helps to reduce the carbon footprint but also makes the projects more cost-effective and environmentally friendly.

Minister Utsev’s unwavering support and dedication to improving water resources and sanitation in Nigeria are admirable. He has proven himself to be a true leader who is passionate about moving the country forward and making it a better place for its citizens.
