Minister Of Sports To Look Into Favour Ofili’s Exclusive From the Olympics in Paris

Senator John Owan Enoh, the Minister of Sports Development, has stated that he will investigate the exclusion of Nigerian athlete Favour Ofili from the 100-meter women’s competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Advertisement The sprinter announced on Tuesday that she will not participate in the 100-meter race at the Paris Olympics because of administrative errors made by the Nigerian Olympic Committee and the Athletics Federation of Nigeria.

“It is with extraordinary lament that I have quite recently been informed I won’t contend in the 100 meters at these Olympic Games. I was qualified, but neither the AFN nor the NOC entered me. I have worked for this opportunity for four years. For what?” On Instagram, Ofili wrote.

Responding in an explanation on Wednesday, the pastor said the “Athletic Organization of Nigeria and the Nigeria Olympic Board of trustees should guarantee that Ofili isn’t denied the valuable chance to contend in the races for which she is qualified and enrolled to address the country at the Paris Olympics. She is determined to demonstrate her strength. He promised appropriate “sanctions following investigations into the location and source of this gross negligence.”   https://x.com/OwanEnoh/status/1818592280829161909

All parties need to take their responsibilities seriously. Enoh stated, “The Federal Ministry of Sports Development cannot tolerate incompetence at any level under the current operating procedures.”
