The vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Kashim Shettima, has said that the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Peter Obi, have nothing to offer to Nigerians.
Speaking in Abuja on Thursday at a symposium organized by the APC Professionals Forum, the former Borno State governor said Peter Obi has nothing to offer apart from dubious statistics.
According to Shettima, Tinubu has the edge over other candidates and would win next year’s presidential election.
He said, “We have to provoke conversation without descending so low to engage in malicious concoction or dubious aspersions on personalities. So what are the options available?
“I don’t want to mention the ole ole incident… He is an elder statesman that I hold in high esteem. I will not question his nationality. No. He is a bona fide Nigerian.”
He further said, “Peter Gringori Obi is my friend, but Gringori has absolutely nothing to offer apart from dubious statistics. So the choice before us; there is a difference between daylight and darkness.
“We think outside the box, get the best, security wise. We really need to reposition this country. I want to give kudos to President Muhammadu Buhari; he has done his best in terms of infrastructure. And our problem is not a debt issue, our problem is a revenue issue.”
