CP Victor Olaiya, the new Commissioner of Police for Kwara Command, has stated that he is resolved to deal ruthlessly with all types of criminals in the state, regardless of their nomenclature.
In a statement issued on Monday in Ilorin, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ajayi Okasanmi, described the Commissioner as saying he would deploy the community policing strategy in accordance with worldwide best practices to achieve this.
He also paraphrased the Commissioner as saying he despises laziness, negligence, and armchair leadership. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), CP Olaiya took over as the state’s new Commissioner on September 25, 2023.
He is from Lagos State and was previously the CP in charge of INEC headquarters in Abuja before being assigned to Kwara.
