Dr Betta Edu, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, has warned Nigerians about the presence of a webpage aimed to swindle Nigerians.
She stated in an Abuja statement on Tuesday that the “FG Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation Trust Fund Registration Portal is Fake” and did not come from the ministry or any other government body.
“The aforementioned portal is a forgery, created by unsavoury elements with the sole intent of defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.”
“There will never be a portal for applying to the humanitarian and poverty alleviation trust fund from the ministry, departments, and agencies of government, or its partners.”
“The general public is, therefore, advised to discountenance the link being circulated,”
