On Saturday, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) announced a partial traffic restriction along the Nyanya-Keffi road for its 2023 Annual 10 Kilometer Walk/Jog Exercise, which would be held at all NAF bases throughout the country.
Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, said this in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja. Gabkwet stated that the workout was part of attempts to improve the physical fitness of NAF troops, and that it would begin at 6 a.m.
He stated that the drill in Abuja will begin at the NAF Base, Asokoro Football Field, and end at the Defence Headquarters Roundabout. He went on to say that the drill will go to Keffi Road/Kugbo Furniture and Pedestrian Bridge – Army Checkpoint Kugbo, and then return to base via the NAF Valley
The second entrance “There will be some traffic restrictions along the aforementioned routes during this time.”
“Similarly, the exercise in other locations across the country is expected to cover major routes around NAF bases and their surroundings.”
“As a result, all necessary safety precautions have been taken to ensure a smooth exercise.”
“Consequently, members of the public, especially motorists and those who reside around AYA, Asokoro and communities around NAF Bases across the nation are advised not to panic but to go about their normal activities,” he added in a statement.
