Skales, a popular artist, has confessed that he despises the Nigeria Police Force “passionately” since he was previously imprisoned with his former manager “unjustly.”
He said he was detained for more than 24 hours before being freed after the intervention of many renowned entertainment executives.
The ‘Shake Body’ singer revealed this in the most recent episode of The Time, presented by Victoria Gure and Folasade Abimbola.
“I was locked up once,” Skales explained. My manager and I were both locked up. It was supposed to be my ex-manager who was locked up, but I was like,
it makes no sense that my manager would be locked up because of the issue I’m also involved in, and I will just be quiet.
“So, I went to the police station. And you know, I hate Nigerian police. I hate them. I want them to know that I hate them passionately. I was locked up for no reason over one small thing. I was in there for like 24 hours. I wasn’t supposed to be there so the person that was having the issue with my manager when he realised I was also part of it…. God bless Paulo of Upturn and Personal and my current manager, Kolatunez, they pulled strings and the whole issue was resolved.”
SOUTHERNROBIN recalls that Skales recently called out the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for allegedly breaking into his house at midnight and harassing him in the presence of his family.
He claimed they accused him of being a fraudster and arrested some persons who were working with him in the studio, including one of his signees.
