Tinubu Pays Tribute To Kale, Nigeria’s First Female Major-General

President Bola Tinubu characterized the death of Nigeria’s first female Major-General, Aderonke Kale, as a “heartbreaking loss” to the country on Friday.

Kale, the Nigerian Army Medical Corps’ first female commander, died on Thursday at the age of 84.

Tinubu expressed his condolences to the Kale family, the Nigerian Army, and the Nigerian medical practitioners’ association in a statement signed by his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Ajuri Ngelale.

Tinubu remarked that the late Major General “embodied the courage, professionalism, capacity, and resilience of the Nigerian woman” as a pioneer in her area.

The President prayed for the serenity of the late officer’s soul and encouraged her cherished family to find peace in the unrivaled legacy she has left behind.
