Famous vocalist Adedamola Adefolahan, otherwise known as Fireboy DML, has uncovered why Nigerian artistes seldom visit the country regardless of selling out fields around the world.
He said Nigerian music is “awesome”, yet there is no construction, which makes it challenging to visit the country.
The vocalist talked in a new meeting with Cool FM Nigeria, Lagos, facilitated by Kayode Oladotun, prevalently known as Do2dtun.
Fireboy said, “Everybody is expressing ‘Afrobeats to the world.’ The music is awesome. Yet, there is no construction.
“They [foreign] fans are listening [to our music] however when are they going to come to Lagos and watch us perform? When are we going have fields in Lagos where we can bring individuals from one side of the planet to the other? You know, it [structure] will make everything simply simpler.”
Inquired as to whether he figures Nigerian fans can bear to pay for field shows, he said, “No doubt, they will. We as of now are.
