The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has deployed 1,200 personnel to protect lives and property during Adamawa’s Christmas celebrations.
The Corps’ spokesman, ASP Nyako Baba, told reporters in Yola on Tuesday that the personnel had been dispatched to strategic locations to ensure the maintenance of law and order across the state’s 21 local government areas.
Baba quoted the Corps’ Commandant, Ibrahim Mainasara, as warning personnel against unprofessional acts that could cause trouble during the festive season.
“This season will see an influx of people due to a variety of activities and travels, among other things.”
“The exercise would be carried out by our rapid response squad, female squad, and intelligent officers. “We will work together with other security agencies to ensure a trouble-free holiday season,” he said.
