The official applicant of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi, on Wednesday said that the degree of weakness in the nation ought not be permitted to proceed.
This is even as he advised the public authority to develop more serious and imaginative methodologies in handling weakness in the country.
Obi’s response followed the kidnapping of travelers who were venturing out to Abuja in mass travel transports, along Kogi State.
In a post on his X handle, the previous Anambra State Governor said, “As weakness, banditry and seizing keep on spreading uncontrolled in the country, I am yet extraordinarily disheartened by the reports of the capturing of certain travelers who were going to Abuja in open transportation transports.
“These family were allegedly grabbed in Kogi State, yesterday, while heading to Abuja. The security of lives and property stays a high administration need which should be offered the critical consideration it merits, by the public authority and pertinent organizations.
“I appeal to individuals releasing these rushes of fear on the country to have a shift in perspective and leave such lawbreaker acts. Our contemplations are with the groups of the seized casualties, as we join in endeavors towards their protected delivery and better security for our country.
“This degree of frailty should not keep on being endured in our country now or later on. Government should develop more serious and imaginative methodologies for managing this environment of weakness.
“At the point when inescapable instability is added to the appetite and extending neediness desolating our country, the situation of the country turns out to be significantly more unstable.”
