There is no denying that Nigeria has faced some major security challenges in recent times. From terrorist attacks to kidnappings and internal conflicts, the country has been in constant turmoil. However, under the leadership of the Chief of Defence Staff, Gwabin Musa, the state of Nigeria is beginning to see a positive and much-needed change.
Since taking office, Musa has been laser-focused on improving the security and peace of the nation. His efforts have not gone unnoticed, with the recent successful rescue of 45 passengers along the Benue-Enugu express road being a testament to his dedication and hard work.
What is even more impressive is that no ransom was paid during the rescue mission. Musa has made it clear that the Nigerian Army will not negotiate with kidnappers, and they will do whatever it takes to safeguard the lives of its citizens. This stance has sent a strong message to those involved in these criminal activities and has significantly reduced the number of reported kidnappings in recent months.
But it doesn’t stop there. Musa has also been instrumental in bringing perpetrators to justice. Just recently, 8 individuals were declared wanted for the killing of 17 military personnel in Okuama, Ughelli local government area of Delta State. This act of violence was a tragic and senseless loss of life that could have easily escalated into a larger conflict. However, thanks to Musa’s swift action, those responsible will be held accountable for their actions.
Under Musa’s leadership, the Nigerian Army has also seen significant improvements in its operations. The morale of the troops has drastically increased, and their dedication and bravery in the face of danger are commendable. This has led to several successful operations against terrorist groups and other criminal organizations, resulting in the neutralization of their activities.
The chief of Defence Staff has also been open to collaborating with neighboring countries to tackle cross-border security threats. The Army’s partnership with the Multinational Joint Task Force has been critical in combating Boko Haram and other terrorist groups in the region. This alliance has not only strengthened the country’s security but has also fostered strong diplomatic relations between Nigeria and its neighbors.
But perhaps one of the most admirable qualities of Musa is his commitment to transparency and accountability. He has been actively engaging with the media and the public, providing regular updates on the progress of the Nigerian Army’s operations. This level of transparency has built trust and confidence in the people, and they are more willing to support the military’s efforts to restore peace and security in the nation.
The state of Nigeria is gradually turning around, thanks to the efforts of the Chief of Defence Staff, Gwabin Musa. His unwavering determination, strategic planning, and strong leadership have played a significant role in improving the security and peace of the country.
